Mary Benton joined the Board of the LGBT Equality Alliance in January 2023 and is honored to now serve as Secretary. Mary is a Queer mom of three kids, one tortoise and too many plants. A passionate advocate for queer and trans communities, Mary brings both lived experience and professional expertise to the table. With a background in LGBTQIA+ interpersonal and business consulting she is current working towards an MBA is non-profit leadership, her work is rooted in intersectionality, community care, and equity. Mary is committed to building spaces where all LGBTQIA+ people—especially those at the intersections—feel seen, held, and empowered.
